Rehabilitation course

Rehabilitation is an essential part of the recovery process. In order for the recovery process to achieve the desired result, the rehabilitation methods chosen must be selected individually for each client, following family doctor or attending physician’s recommendations.

When choosing and applying for SIVA rehabilitation, the doctor creates an individual rehabilitation plan by taking health and functioning condition, as well as contraindications into account.

Every client’s case is individual, therefore, with each rehabilitation course, the range of procedures provided may differ. Each client, according to the doctor’s assessment, can receive additional, previously unincluded, SIVA medical services during the rehabilitation course for an extra fee.

All services offered are also available to customers with reduced mobility. A rehabilitation course is an inpatient service.

During the rehabilitation course, the client is provided with:

• specialist consultations (doctor, physiotherapist, occupational therapist*, psychologist*);
• rehabilitation procedures**;
• cultural and leisure activities;
• accommodation;
• meals (thrice per day, available diet types: 5, 9 and 15, as well as vegetarian).

The rehabilitation course duration can be tailored to your needs. The following rehabilitation procedures are included in the rehabilitation course according to the doctor's recommendation:

• physiotherapy: group and/or individual sessions under physiotherapist guidance the guidance of a physiotherapist in the gym and/or swimming pool, Sling therapy***, Nordic walking, dosed walks, taping, gym, water exercise machine training, etc.;
• occupational therapy: individual and/or group classes, classes with the medical device RehaCom;
• physical therapy with various electrotherapy devices: magnetotherapy, laser therapy, lymphatic drainage, TENS, etc.;
• hydrotherapy – therapeutic baths, showers, underwater massages, swimming pool.

The rehabilitation services are provided only in building No. 2.

Please note:

* specialist consultations are prescribed by a doctor as needed;

** rehabilitation procedures are prescribed by a doctor, taking into account the client's health and functional status and in accordance with the funding provided for in the Cabinet of Ministers' basket;

*** only with a referral from a neurologist.

Provision of services and refunds

SIVA provides paid services if the client has made an advance payment for the service or submitted a letter of guarantee.

SIVA shall refund the client for paid but unused services on the basis of a client application registered with SIVA, which the client shall submit no later than three working days before the start or termination of the paid service.
