Social Integration State Agency (SIVA) offers a state-funded vocational assessment service. It is available to people of working age if they have been diagnosed with:
- disability;
- foreseeable disability;
- no disability, but have functional impairments according to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health.
The vocational assessment is a set of activities carried out by SIVA specialists to evaluate a person’s:
- interest in vocational fields and occupations;
- motivation to study;
- previous knowledge and experience;
- health condition, intellectual abilities and individual characteristics’ compatibility with the chosen occupation.
In result, the person can receive a recommendation for the most suitable vocational rehabilitation program in SIVA College or other educational institution, as well as the necessary support measures in order to integrate into the labor market.
About the service
The assessment lasts for 5 business days, during which, if necessary, the person can also be provided with accommodation and catering thrice a day.
The service is provided at Slokas St. 68, Jūrmala, Dubulti, LV-2015.
