Since 1998 to 2008, the Agency implemented 1 EQUAL, 18 European Social Fund (ESF), 1 European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and 16 European Union (EU) projects.
The implementation of the EQUAL draft international cooperation programme from 2005 to 2007 contributed to the integration of disabled people into the labour market.
9 support points, 4 training programmes, training methodological materials for 11 education programmes, 3 methodologies developed and validated, 19 training audiences and training spaces were created in the regions of Latvia from September 2005 to July 2008, 4 training programmes developed, training materials prepared for 11 education programmes, 3 methodologies developed and validated, technical base of equipment, video conferencing system in place, vocational aptitude assesment for 1055 persons, training of 264 people with disabilities, developed work of the Daily Centre, improved social rehabilitation services.
Design and construction work for the development of a training restaurant adapted to the needs of disabled people has been carried out in the course of the project developed by the ERDF during the 2004-2006 project programming period from November 2005 to September 2007.
EU projects have learned and introduced overseas experience in the training and integration of disabled people in the labour market.
